1947

  • Philadelphia Athletics professional team began hosting games at Riverside Park

1948

  • Vern Riffe Sr., takes office as New Boston mayor

1949

  • Scioto Breeze Drive-In theater was built

1950

  • Henry Oberling Motor Company officially came into existence
