Welcome to the City of Portsmouth Department of Public Utilities Waterworks. My name is Sam Sutherland and I am the Director of this Department. I am responsible for overseeing the operation of the Divisions of Filtration and Pumping, Distribution and Meters and Collections. It is the responsibility of this department to treat and distribute potable drinking water to customers in the City of Portsmouth, Wheelersburg, Rosemount and West Portsmouth.
