Welcome to the City of Portsmouth
Public Service Department. I am responsible for overseeing operation of the divisions of Sanitation, Traffic, Streets, Grounds,
City Garage and Parks and Recreation. This department handles snow removal on all streets and
highways within the City, all traffic lights and signage,
maintenance of all vehicles and equipment owned and operated by the
City, leaf and brush removal, maintenance of all parks and
recreational facilities, care and maintenance of Greenlawn Cemetery,
and all cleanliness and upkeep of streets and alleyways throughout
the City of Portsmouth.

Our hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If
